Centre for Strategic Research in Education

The aim of the Centre for Strategic Research in Education (CSER) is to answer a series of questions about education, to supply policy-makers with research-based facts about education, to strengthen attainment, to minimise attrition, to serve as knowledge centre for other researchers and projects and thereby to improve the quality of education in Denmark.

To achieve these goals, a number of outstanding researchers from a range of institutions are working together in CSER. The research centre brings the very best Danish quantitative and qualitative researchers in economics, sociology and education together in a common, attractive, cooperative research community.

Each of the key researchers involved in the centre have participated in many collaborative projects and have well-established relations to various research communities and stakeholders. In the strategic research centre, these relations has been strengthened and put to full use for the first time in Danish educational history. Furthermore, the strategic research centre has access to experienced staff, research groups, international relations and graduate training programmes at the partner institutions, which will ensure a positive feedback from practitioners, researchers and stakeholders.
